What's up with UMG?

Tracks and albums from UMG have lately disappeared out of the blue, almost any genre, any artist, to then suddenly reappear a few weeks later. For instance, half of the catalogue by The Commodores disappeared earlyer this year, but it took a few weeks and it got back. Now it is different acts, but whenever it happens I notice it is ALWAYS UMG related. 

So what's up with UMG really? This is obviously a technical problem rather than an issue of acts not wanting to be on Spotify.

Spotify would love to have all the world’s music available to everyone. However, some artists and tracks aren't currently available. Although, as you said, they might appear again later.

I'd recommend reading this article for more info on why this happens.

In this case I doubt this is the case. This is simply UMG having technical issues.
