album won't play

I am trying to play an album, but when I click the play button, it doesn't play, the cursor turns into a red circle with a bar in the middle (like a no entry sign or something). no error message or anything.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Could you try clearing cache from the app to see if it makes any difference? Make sure to log out from the app and back in again once it's done, as this will resync your account info. Another option is a clean reinstall of the app, to ensure that you're using the latest version as well.

It's also worth checking so that the Artist is allowed to play, should this only occur with a particular album and artist. You can check this by opening their artist page on the mobile app > press the 3 dots > Allow this artist to play.

Shouldn't that do the trick, however, could you let us know what device and operating system you're using? Have you noticed similar behavior on other devices that you use Spotify on?
