my user name (numbers) showing instead of my name

hi! my user name-ID (numbers) showing instead of my name, and I searched and read contents about similar issue, that they say "log in with fb", I guess I log out fb somehow so I log out-in with fb, even a deleted spotify from fb's device, and it still shows number. do I need to wait or any other things I can do?

Sounds like you might have opted out of sharing your data with Facebook. You can check this on your account page here. You should also make sure that on Facebook's end here, Spotify has to be allowed to have access to personal data.

If you followed the steps above correctly everything should be fine now 🙂 It just takes a bit for the system to update everything. This shouldn't take longer than 48h. If you wait 48h but still can't see your username, make sure to let me know and I'll see what I can suggest next.

Hello there! Thanks for reaching out.

So your Spotify account wasn't linked to your Facebook account and your Spotify username turned into random numbers all of a sudden, right? 

As Spotify looks to improve the overall experience of the service, they are now automatically generating usernames, hence the random numbers and letters.

You don’t need to remember this to log in. You can log in with just your password and the email address associated with your account.

During sign up, you can personalize your account by creating a profile name that’s displayed in the app. There’s no limitations to a profile name, so you can choose any you like. You can learn more about Chaning usernames here.
