Solved!

64-bit debian packages missing from repository

I tried to download the 64-bit packages from http://repository.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify-client/, but both of them return 404 errors. The 32-bit packages seem to work fine. Help?

Everything in the /pool directory has an aggressive cache, including the directory view, but everything should expire at the same time once per day, so what you described should not happen, but it obviously did.

You should however follow the preferred instructions at: https://www.spotify.com/download/linux/ and not check the directory listing manually for deb files. apt will fetch list of updated packages in a different way, from the /dists directory which should not be affected by this kind of cache problem.

Thanks jooon! Unfortunately, my corporate network does not allow external repositories to be added, so this was a workaround I found. Is there a better workaround for my situation?

Sorry, not that I know of. 😕

No worries! Well, glad to know it's just a caching issue - trying it again now, the directory does seem to contain the deb package for 64-bit, so if this happens again I'll just wait 🙂
