A Connection Question About SPDIF

My 2 channel stereo integrated amplifier has a digital input.

If I connect the output from my computer's sound card,using the orange output(the SPDIF output) to my integrated amplifier's digital input ,using a mono cable with the correct connections(3.5 to coax),will the DAC resolve  the issues of splitting the mono feed to stereo and having Spotify's output converted(expanded?) to the proper format to feed the analog  conversion before it goes to the preamplifier section of the integrated amp?

Yep, this should work if your computers soudcard driver is set up correctly.
