the fix for this has been noted in this issue on github https://github.com/flathub/com.spotify.Client/issues/265

 

delete ~/.var/app/com.spotify.Client and then open spotify and log back in

I can confirm that the latest commit 8eda3ab5394fd71943e0ce8cbc555d0515cc8ca92876656a64a1fc049bdca071 (flatpak remote-info --log flathub com.spotify.Client) introduced breaking changes with blank screens and colorful pixelated flickering.

 

Dev's please revert that commit, I do not have access to the closed-source repository.

Fedora 38

Wayland

AMD Vega 56 OC

i9-9900k

 

though, according to reviews, this commit seems to have broken the installation for everyone on the Fedora Store

It's the same for Pop!_OS 22.04. I think it's affecting everyone using Flatpak regardless of the distro and flavour they are using?

In any case, I tried reinstalling the flatpak of Spotify to no avail.
