New Song Number notification Feature for Playlists Removed? :(

Solved!

New Song Number notification Feature for Playlists Removed? :(

Hey there everyone, so far im digging the new update and its new functionality.

However, i have become very, very disheartened to discover that my most favorite feature about spotify( which involves the convienience of a massive playlist collection that i am following) has been either removed or hidden from use.

This feature is the convienient  blue colored new song number for any playlist that you are following, which displays right on top of the playlist heading in your playlist area. The number not only reveals how many new tracks have been added by the playlist author, but it also acts as a link once you click the playlist, that brings you to the placement of the new songs within the playlist. Thus making it incredibly simple and easy to view and listen to any new music in the playlist that you are following.(without having to scroll all the way from the top to the bottom, as there are some playlists that have hundreds of songs and i would have to observe the add-in dates for all of them)

To some this feature may not be important, but to those individuals who use spotify to not only enjoy mainstream music, but to subscribe to  a whole lot of diverse variety of playlists inorder to discover new and exciting music in a simple-to-listen manner; well.....this is definetly a bummer.

I honestly wish for this feature to return, as i have just ordered spotify premium primarily for listening to spotify on my phone. However, the removal of this feature is causing me to not enjoy spotify as much now because now all I have to fall back on is my massive clutter of notifications in my inbox from the playlists that i am following, which to me, isnt all that great.

Is there anyway that this feature could be put back? I would sincerly apreciate a response from anyone concerning this issue because now spotify just doesnt seem the same... and if possible could someone tell me if this feature ever existed on the android version(pemium of course) and if they could return that to the android version as well. That would make the Spotify Premium Service much more attractive. ^.^ which is something that i would definetly be willing to subscribe too.

Thank you.

Or, instead of waiting for features that may or may not be coming back with "no ETA", you can get rid of this unfinished beta piece of crap and enjoy a fully-fonctional Spotify again by reverting to the previous version and preventing it from auto-updating :

This is just a temporary workaround while waiting for Apple Beats to be released so we can all finally move away from Spotify 🙂

The blue dots will be coming back in an update soon. (Spotify hasn't given an ETA yet)

This feature has never existed in the mobile apps, only in the desktop app.

Hello there,

Waiting for the blue dot coming back, you still can order the playlist by date, (click the icon calender in the playlist headline). That will show you the last songs added.

Hey Matt, thanks for the reply. Yeah bro, i mean i have the feeling that they will probably return it soon enough, cause its obvious that im probably not the only one who got alittle bummed out by that deleted feature.

But it does seem kinda disappointing ta know that this feature isnt on the android app yet, ya know?

something very much to look forward too, like I'd pay for a feature like that on my phone lol

That way I can have something that I can spend my data on.....which im already paying for XD
