Recent Linux client update changes

Hey!

There has been an update to the Spotify Linux client signatures.

Users may see errors linked to missing keys and failed signature verifications for Spotify when updating the system.

If this happens to you, this can be fixed by manually adding the updated key:

curl -sS https://download.spotify.com/debian/pubkey_0D811D58.gpg | sudo apt-key add -

Have a nice day! 🙂

When will the Spotify client drop-down menu's work in settings with Wayland in Gnome (Fedora)?
Switching to Xorg is not an option

hola

tengo problemas al compartir música de spotify desde Zoom com mi Ubuntu... antes podía... qué puedo hacer? graciass

Does anyone got the new one?

That works.... BUT

"Warning: apt-key is deprecated. Manage keyring files in trusted.gpg.d instead (see apt-key(8))."

After update of key...

W:GPG error: http://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY C85668DF69375001, E:The repository 'http://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease' is not signed.

The correct command is always listed in the installation page

curl -sS https://download.spotify.com/debian/pubkey_C85668DF69375001.gpg | sudo gpg --dearmor --yes -o /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/spotify.gpg

Please release a native ARM64 Linux client, as ARM devices such as Apple Silicon Macs, Pinebook, and Qualcomm-powered laptops are becoming more common.

Hey, when will lossless quality be available on Linux? (The client built, for example, on Flatpack is 3 months old...) ?

This has become the lengthiest application that I have ever encountered on the intermate and do not want to encounter such an overly waste of my timeè

Flatpak version now has this lossless audio feature.
