Spotify connect on Linux

Solved!

Spotify connect on Linux

Hi, Just installed the client on Linux and very upset to find spotify connect missing. Is this planned or is any working being done? On version 0.9.17.1.g~

I used this feature a lot with my speaker system (indeed i cancelled google play music because it didn't support them).

Very upsetting. presumably its very platform independent DLNA stuff underneath. No idea why it would be left out.

Hi easytiger,

I had the same problem on Arch Linux with spotify desktop 0.9.17

On Arch I could update to v1.0.16.104.g3b776c9e now the problem is solved.

Thanks, where can I find it to install? The debian repo only has 9.x versions available

Amazing @Dreadlord. Perfect.

had to do a command line install, but it works now !!!! my joyy !!

Is this version still a viable solution? There won't show up any more devices in available devices in Spotify despite installing the spotify-client_1.0.29.92.g67727800-21_amd64.deb version.
