After the last update, i keep seeing a weird file with name explicit_filter.restore in my home directory. After a bit of investigation, i figured out that this file appears every time i skip or set a track, no matter is it explicit or not, but this file keeps appearing in my home directory every time I turn on a track.
Proof & interesting fact:
if i open spotify from a terminal in another directory, the file, instead of appearing in the home directory, will appear there. There are no messages in the console related to that weird file.
Same on archlinux
Also saw this on Arch Linux today for the first time.
bump, same on arch linux
Same here
I also noticed that the file is being created whenever a new song plays
same here, on manjaro with xfce. it's mildly infuriating because it messes up the spacing between directories in my home because thunar changes spacing depending on file name length... pls fix or change the path to ~/.config/spotify or something.
same here lol
ggagag
This is how I solved it for my arch install:
