local files not playing on linux by they play on my phone

My Question or Issue

local files do not play on the Spotify desktop app I get an error message saying it can't play it right now if I have the file on my computer I can import it. it plays fine on a playlist I have on my phone but that same playlist won't play the song on Linux

fixed by using the snap version. i tried the flatpack and the desktop version and they both don't work
