Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
In the desktop app, this functionality is still available, but it's located somewhere else. When you click on the album artwork in the bottom-left corner of the app, it will open the Now Playing View in the right panel. If you click the playlist title above the enhanced artwork in that panel, it will lead you to the position of the currently playing song within the playlist. If possible, we'd recommend using the desktop app instead of the Web Player for this functionality.
However, we're checking this internally to see if the functionality should be available on the Web Player as well or not. So we'll let you know as soon as we get more info about it.
We appreciate your report. Stay tuned!
Hi, this doesn't work for me in the desktop app. If i click on the playlist title it takes me to the playlist, but not to the current playing song?
Regards Linus
Hey @LinusNoren,
Thanks for getting back to us.
On our end, when using the Desktop app it takes us to the position of the song playing within the playlist. Could you check to see if you are running the latest Spotify version, and update it if not on the latest version. It is also worth clearing your cached files, note that that will delete your saved music so you will have to re-download your titles.
Hope this helps out, keep us posted.
Hi Martin,
I'm using the latest version and have cleared the cache but it doesn't help. I also noticed that this is only a problem in my Liked Songs playlist. The other playlists works as intended.
Regards Linus
Thanks for the response, @LinusNoren!
We tested with the Liked Songs playlist and currently when clicking on the playlist name in the Now Playing View on the right side, it does lead you to the Likes Songs playlist itself, but not to the song that's playing in it. We're always looking for ways to improve and offer better functions so thanks for sharing this with us.
It's worth mentioning that you can click on the song name in the Now Playing View panel and it will open it for you.
We're here if there's anything else you're wondering about 🙂
Thanks for the info. I hope this will be fixed in a future update.
/Linus
On/from the "playing from" page, it'd be helpful to have the option to display/jump to that specific song in playlist. Yeah? 🤷🏻♀️
