Liked Songs not appearing

Liked Songs not appearing

Using Spotify Desktop on Mac.

Hey folks! Recently I've faced a bug after updating the app.

Last time when I was listening to my Liked Songs, I used to sort songs by genre as it gives you an opportunity to filter. (Example: Indie, Rock, Hip-Hop, etc).

After updating the app there's no more this feature and now it only shows me songs from a specific genre that I chose last time before updating, even though there's more songs.

I have over 1000+ songs in my liked playlist, but now it only shows me 243 songs.

If someone has faced this issue and knows the solution, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi there @Okhuno,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Sounds like you got to try one of the features our tech folks are working on. At Spotify, we're often testing and launching improvements to the app. This means you might occasionally see something your friend doesn’t, or get a new feature to try temporarily.

As for the filter hiding the rest of your Liked Songs, could you log out and sign back in to your account twice in a row? This will trigger an internal refresh of the app that may help here.

Something else you can try is deleting the prefs file from the Spotify directory:

  1. Open Finder on your Mac and click Go > Library (if you don't have hidden folders enabled, press the option key first and it should appear).
  2. Go to Application Support > Spotify.
  3. There you'll find a file called prefs, which holds info about the currently logged in account's settings. Simply delete it to reset them.
  4. While in the Spotify folder, you'll also find a Users folder. Open it and delete its contents as well.
  5. Restart the app.

Note that you'll be logged out and your settings will be reset, so you'll have to adjust them again. If you had music downloaded for offline listening, you'll have to re-download it as well. Your library, however, will not be affected, so no worries there.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers 🤘
