Greetings:
I have two computers running OSX 10.9.2 - a mid-2010 MacBook Pro and a late-2012 iMac. Both machines experience the same problem when trying to run the Spotify desktop app. Login screen comes up, I login (using either my Spotify or Facebook creds to login), login window goes away, and then...nothing happens.
After a minute or so, in the Force Quit window, Spotify is shown to be Not Responding.
I've completely uninstalled and performed a clean install of the desktop app on both computers (several times). Nothing seems to work. I've tried using older versions of the app. Same result. Not Responding.
Note to any Spotify folks who might read this: Because I'm getting the same problem on two completely different machines, it sounds like the problem lies with my account. Does my account need to be "reset" or something?
Anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks!
--Ant.
P.S. I can login to the web app with no problems.

If spotify is crashing or freezing, the steps in this post may be worth trying.
And I was keeping my fingers crossed 😞
Shoot off a contact form to the customer service guys and they'll take a look at your account to make sure nothing weird is going on there. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community or to the help pages, make sure to reply to it directly to speed things along.

Thanks, Joe, but I've tried all that on both systems. Still nothing after the login window disappears.

I can't even get that far. The login window disappears, then nothing. I have to Force Quit. That said, your situation sounds worse. Like it gives you a little bit of hope, then BAM. Hope dashed.

Thanks for the tip, Joe. Hopefully it'll work out...
I got the same problem too and i have done the sugested things to fix it but im getting no results
Same problem here with Premium on two seperate macs - this is very frustrating. Is this worth the premium fee?? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times before - which fixes the problem for a while - but within days we're back to the same problem. Freeze - spinning ball. This sucks. On a happy note - the mobile (ipad/ipod) app works. But I need my mac app to work!
Check out Joe's suggestion above. I sent a message on the contact form. They emailed back, sent a link to another .dmg file. Not sure if it was that or some bits of business they did to my account, but it worked. Now running on a '10 MacBook and a late '12 iMac, no worries.
