[Mac] Spotify only playing from one ear of AirPods

My Question or Issue

Whenever I play music through my AirPods (haven't tested with other speakers), only one of the ears is working. I tried resetting and disabling the equaliser in Spotify, but it didn't help. If I go to system settings, I can see that the balancing between the two ears is in the middle, so that should not cause this issue. I also tried to play other media outside of the Spotify app, and the issue is not present on other platforms, so it seems like the Spotify Mac app is causing the problem. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for reaching out. Consider testing the following:

• Do the Airpods work as expected with Spotify on other devices?
• Please try testing with other wireless and non-wireless earbuds/speakers and let us know if the issue persists
• Try clean reinstalling the app.
