Hi there

I am brand new to Spotify - wanting to download music offline to then transfer to USB to play in the car (have taken out Spotify Premium Duo).

Am using macOS BigSur v11.1

I managed to change the download location on my macbook pro so that I can see the files.

The problem: it seems the files download as various folders with files in (files ending in '.file'). When I try to open the file I get the following error message: 

There is no application set to open the document 

Please help

Hi @ash0086, thanks for writing!

Spotify's songs are not supposed to be transferred to a USB stick - the files are protected somehow.

Why don't you just save those songs offline using Spotify in your mobile phone and then connect it in your car's sound system?
