I personally have a lot of public playlists, and there’s many that I would like people to see first when they open my profile. I believe the ability to pin these playlists would come in really handy. (Keep in mind that pinning playlists to your profile is different from pinning playlists to your library).
Hey @vickyvaldivieso,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better.
You can already choose which playlists are shown on your profile by following these steps.
If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
I pinned a playlist to my library by accident and don't know how to unpin. I could not find anything in this support site.
Also, there is link that tells how to pin a playlist to your profile. When I tried to open it, it said Access Denied. I am premium member. Why doesn't it open?
Hey @cloverlea,
Thank you for your reply in this thread.
If you'd like to unpin playlist from Your Library - you can do that in just a few easy steps. Right click on the desired playlist and choose the option "Unpin playlist". Screenshot for visibility below.
Regarding your second question - could you please let us know if you're referring to this article here? In case you're - we'd like to know how how the website looks like on your end. Would you mind sending some screenshots where we can take a better look at this?
In the meantime - we'd suggest that you try accessing this guide here to see if you'll be able to.
Hope this helps. We'll be on the lookout for your response.
that didn’t answer the question they want to pin playlists to their public profile so other people see specific playlists first
Hey @annabelle369,
There's an idea about this here, so feel free to check it out and show your support by giving it a thumbs up - that way it has a better chance of being considered.
In the meantime, it's worth noting that the public playlists on your profile follow the custom order you've set on the desktop app, so if you'd like specific playlists to always show first you can move them to the top of Your Library.
Hope this clears things up. Cheers!
Arent playlists ordered by the date they were created though? Moving a playlist up or down doesn't change its location on my profile for me.
I want one playlist to always be pinned to the top of my profile, but it is on the bottom because it was one of my first playlists that I made.
Hey @warllamaboy,
Thanks for joining the thread!
Keep in mind that in order to be able to move playlists up and down in Your Library on the desktop app, you first have to set it to Custom Order. You can check out this article here for more details.
After following the steps, try to move the playlist up on the desktop app and this action should also update and be visible on the mobile version (you may need to log out > log back in). Make sure to also set the order to Custom order on the mobile app by first going to Your Library and selecting Playlists.
Hope this helps and keep us posted 🙂
I feel like you didn't understand the request as I would like to share more playlists but still have some pinned to the top instead of it being in chronological order.
In your library of playlist, right click on the one that you want to pin at the top > Pin playlist.
I believe you're only limited to pinning four though.
