My Question or Issue

The Recently Played section in the main screen has one older entry at the start. It also appears that way when I click on Show All. The remaining entries in the list seem to be in the correct order.

Hey @AdSR,

Thanks for reaching out.

We recommend that you log out everywhere and run a clean reinstall on all your devices. This will force an account wide resynch of your info and remove any corrupted files that may be hindering the connection to our servers. After a couple of days of use, your Recently Played should get updated with more recent entries.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how it goes.

It doesn't seem to be a real issue, just non-obvious behavior. I think I found the reason for this and it is quite convoluted. Here is what I think is what occurred when that happened:

1. I listened to an album on the phone (no local download)
2. I disabled Wi-Fi and mobile data on the phone
3. I listened to other music on my laptop
4. I drove a car with a Bluetooth radio
5. Spotify tried to start playing the album but was offline
6. The attempt still got registered as playing that album
7. When I later turned on Wi-Fi on the phone, Spotify reported the album as the most recently played
8. I started Spotify on the laptop and it displayed that album as the last played

So it looks like just a curious interplay of various events. 🙂
