Searching for Songs in Library Not Working

My Question or Issue

When typing songs into the search bar of my library, no results ever come up.

The songs I search for are definitely saved in my library.

Screenshots attached of a particular album that is saved in my library, then my search for the first track in that album but no results.

Hey!

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community.

I can confirm that this is the current expected behavior. The items in Your Library search are categorized into Playlists, Podcasts, Artists and Albums, so you'd only get results that match one of these categories. This means that it's not currently possible to search for individual tracks that are found in one of your playlists directly from Your Library - you'll have to open a playlist and search in it instead.

Here's an idea though about being able to search within all of your playlists, which you might find interesting, so feel free to check it out and show your support. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

The thread you suggested is pretty much the feature I was hoping for.

This does feel like a strange limitation. If you've saved an album or created a playlist with a song in it, why wouldn't you be able to just type in the name of the song to find it in your library? 

Often I'd like to revisit a song I haven't listened to in a while, and I don't remember the artist or the album, just the name of the song. And if I search for the song broadly on the full Spotify database, I sometimes have to sift through multiple artists and albums to find the version I originally saved. Or even if the song does pop up straight away, I still have no idea what playlist I've saved it in. Sometimes I can't even remember the name of the song, only a single word from the title, so searching on the Spotify database will yield no results, but if I could search for that keyword in my own library I'd be able to find it quickly since there would be only a few possible options that fit.

This just seems like an obvious function of a search bar within your own library.

You're being too polite to them. This is not a strange limitation, it's downright idiotic. Spotify has such a horrible UX it's unbelievable. How is it even possible that it doesn't have such a basic feature? Are you trying to be Apple removing features but without any thinking?
