Since the latest ios update i can't control spotify on my mac anymore

My Question or Issue

Hi, suddenly when i am playing music on mac my spotify on ios doesn't switch to "remote control mode". I actually can play different music on spotify on my iphone at the same time, although all devices are connected to the same network and always offline is deactivated.

 

As in i can start a song on mac os and start a song on ios using the same account and can't control my music on mac os from my spotify app on ios.

Judging from what you've described, it seems that the Connect function isn't working between your Mac and the iPhone!
If this is the case, the first step I would do is to check which device is the isolated one -
When you select the Connect picker on both the Mac and the iPhone, are you able to see any other device in the list?

If the Mac is isolated but the mobile phone isn't, it might be a good idea to check if any VPN services are enabled, as they can cause such issues.
Make sure Spotify isn't blocked by any Firewall settings.

It's also a good idea to log out from both devices and then log back in twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of all your settings 🙂
