Over the weekend, I had to do a series of shutting down and restarting my Macbook Air due to several tabs refusing to force quit. Today, I opened up the Spotify app on my desktop only to be greeting with the error message, "This app is restricted to Premium users only (Error code: accesspoint:22)."

 

1) I do have a confirmed Premium account (and have been a Premium user for years)

2) The Spotify app on my iPhone 12 is working with no issues

3) I am able to log into my Spotify account online with no issues (and am able to confirm I still have Premium status)

 

I have so far:

1) Restarted my laptop

2) Changed the password to my Spotify account

3) Checked for software updates on my Macbook Air (according to the App Store I don't have any)

 

What am I missing here? This is the first time this has ever happened before. Thank you in advance!

Yes. This did it for me.

This is **bleep**ed up. 

my spotify on desktop wont sign me in. I am a premiun user and when I try to sign in it says, "This app is restricted to premiun users only, error code: 409"

Trying to log in on MacBook and it keeps telling me I can’t because “this app is restricted to premium users only (error code: 409)” but I am a premium user and the app is working fine on my phone

error code: accespoint:22

I can't log into Desktop app because it says "This app is restricted to Premium users only" when I log in with the correct credentials to my Premium Individual Spotify account.

Same for me
