My Question or Issue

I cannot figure out how to stop Spotify from opening automatically when I restart my Mac. I've checked System Preferences -> Login items and Spotify is NOT listed in the app list for me to remove. Where else should I go to stop this behavior?

Possible Solutions:

-Check Other Spotify Settings:

-Advanced Settings: Within Spotify, look for "Show advanced settings" and uncheck the option to launch the application when you turn on your computer.

-Keyboard Shortcuts: Check if any keyboard shortcuts are configured to open Spotify automatically when you start your system.

-Check Log Files:

-macOS Console: Look for error messages or information related to Spotify that may indicate the reason for the automatic launch.

-Check Third-Party Applications:

-Task Managers: Some third-party applications may be setting Spotify to launch automatically. Disable any Spotify-related settings in these applications.

-Check Application Permissions: -System Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Disk Access: Make sure Spotify has the correct permissions.

-Reset Login:

-Create a New User: Create a new user on your Mac and check if the problem persists. If not, there may be an issue with the current user profile. Additional Tips:

-Update Spotify: Check if there are any updates available for Spotify.

-Restart your Mac in Safe Mode: This can help identify if a third-party application is causing the issue. -If none of the above solutions work, I recommend:

-Contact Apple Support: They may be able to provide more personalized assistance.

-Contact Spotify Support: They may have specific information about the application and its settings.
