Spotify songs skip/restart when I type

Premium/ UK/ Mac -iMac Ventura 14.4.1

When I am listening to Spotify and typing, the songs will randomly restart/skip. There is no correlation to the key pressed and the song restarting. For example, when typing this, it skipped once on the key 'm' and then restarted on a 't'- randomly and not always when tying these keys. 

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, updated etc. Even created an entire new username on the computer to see if this helped - nothing!

Thanks for posting in the Community.

This is indeed an odd experience. Could you record it and try reproducing it with the Spotify app in the background and a text input app on the foreground? Type something out and show us the result.

Having similar issue - my playback will also pause even when I'm not typing.  Did the uninstall and reinstall exercise, did not help at all.  Spotify team - if you read these notes, you oughta get some people together and issue a patch for this very significant issue.  Performance is so bad that I may cancel subscription despite being a loyal user for many years.  This is intolerable.
