My Question or Issue

Spotify won't connect to the internet. Everything else on my Mac is connecting, so I know it's a problem with Spotify. I have tried force quitting the app and opening it again, I've tried restarting my computer, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and nothing is working. What should I do to fix it?

And while I'm here, I'd like to say that it is extremely frustrating to report an issue given that I had to google how to report an issue and follow 5 different steps just to get here. I am extremely disappointed given that I've been using Spotify for years and it's never given me a problem, and now that it has I have to jump through hoops just to figure out how to solve it.

As a next step, would you mind giving a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens? 


On another note, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one? Additionally, could you check if the OS of your PC has any pending updates? 


Lastly and if the issue persists, sending us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert image option in the post editor. Make sure not to send any private info.

I'm also facing the same issue - the loading placeholders never resolve into actual results. I'm on OSX Venture 13.6.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, trying multiple different networks, restarting my computer, etc. Nothing seems to resolve. Also, my web player is also consistently in a black screen state.
