Unable to scrub through a track using touch bar (macOS High Sierra)

Unable to scrub through a track using touch bar (macOS High Sierra)

I'm using a MacBook Pro (2016 with touch-bar) running macOS High Sierra (10.13.3). With spotify running in the background, I'm able to see an icon for opening Spotify options (screenshot 1) - but it vanishes sometimes and I have no idea on how to get it back (screenshot 2).

From screenshot 1, if I touch the spotify icon, I see a scrub bar without an indication of where in the song I currently am. If it does show up, it's at the end of the bar. I find that I'm able to scrub by dragging the pointer to somewhere in the middle but it's quite inaccurate and hard to tell where it will stop at.

I've tried reinstalling Spotify but with the same result. Not sure how to fix this, any help is appreciated.

Hey 👋 @gmarwaha!

I actually had this same issue the other day. I did a complete re-install and it solved my issue. I know it sounds simple, but could you check this guide on how to do a complete reinstall of Spotify. https://support.spotify.com/using_spotify/troubleshooting/reinstallation-of-spotify/

Let me know if that works!

Worked great! Infact, it doesn't even vanish from the touchbar anymore (screenshot 2).

Thanks!
