What is the optimal output settings for Audio MIDI Setup on Mac OS X?

The default setting seems to be 44,100 Hz, but my Mac Book Pro allows to me change it to 48,000 Hz. Should I do that?

When I plug in my external DAC, I have many more choices, going up to 192,000 Hz.

Should I always use the highest rate available for best sound quality? Or is there a native rate from Spotify that I should stick to in order to avoid re-sampling?

For the moment Spotify works with 16/24/32bit and up to 192kHz audio stream. It seems that sample rates above 192kHz are causing breaks in the playback. For more information, we'd recommend checking out this post by @Sebasty from our Star Program ⭐
