how do i disable open Spotify popup in Chrome?

How do I stop this pop-up from appearing every time I click on a Spotify link in Chrome?

What you’re describing is a prompt from Google Chrome and that occurs on websites and apps other than Spotify so I’ll try my best to help but Google Chrome’s support forums may be a better place to ask for issues and questions relating to Chrome. 

As far as I can see, this post from the Google Chrome support forum may give you the best help (it was made by another user and I don’t own a Mac so I don’t know how helpful or correct it may actually be but it was the best I could find) but as far as I can see, there doesn’t seem to be a built-in toggle or way to easily disable that pop-up. The best I can think of is either by ticking the “always allow open.spotify.com to open links…” which will automatically open the Spotify app and disable the pop-up, or by uninstalling the Spotify app if you just want to use the web player and not have that pop-up.
