A Windows Store installation of Spotify was found in your system.

I'm trying to install spotify desktop version (not windows store app) and cannot do it.
I get this error.
 
 
"A Windows Store installation of Spotify was found in your system.  Please uninstall that version first, or update through the Windows Store"
 
 
I have never installed a windows store version of spotify, this computer is completely new. Also, windows store is blocked so i cannot install anything from there.
 
I checked if spotify was installed and nothing.
 
I checked:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local but i have no spotify folder.
I really don't need to check as i've never installed spotify on this computer which is two days old.
 
I run the install as admin.
This is corporate computer if your wondering.

It's working, but i do get an error when i start spotify.

The error message is ok for me, as long as it works.

It stopped working now again.

Any solution to this?

Windows 10 AutoInstalls Recommended Apps.
Before I disabled autoinstalling of recommended apps on my system, Spotify was among the apps automatically installed.

The only reason you would bother getting the version from the website, is if you wish to theme/modify it.

Otherwise, the windows store version should work about the same.

If you still want the regular install, make sure you uninstall the Windows store version first.
