ASCII characters in playlist descriptions

My Question or Issue

When I click on the playlist description it displays lots of ASCII codes that put it over the character limit. I can exit out without having to change anything, but if I do want to change anything I have to do all those characters over again. For example, delete every "/" and reenter the "/" character. It works, but it's annoying.
