Song restarts randomly on Spotify connect

When using Spotify connect, the song randomly restarts. A typical use is this, but it does not always happen in the order listed. During the entire session I run ping towards spotify.com with stable 5 ms response time.

1. Open Spotify on PC Windows 10 20H2, Spotify 1.1.48.625.g1c87c7f7.
   
2. Select Listen on Sony Receiver with Spotify Connect.
3. Song starts.
4. Song plays for 1-2 minutes.
5. Spotify says Offline. Still shows Listening on Sony Receiver. Music plays.
6. Spotify shows error message "No internet connection detected. Spotify will automatically try to reconnect when it detects an internet connection (error code:4)". Still shows Listening on Sony Receiver. Music plays.
7. Spotify no longer shows Listening on Sony Receiver. Music plays.
8. Spotify shows Listening on Sony Receiver. Music plays.
9. Spotify is online again.
10. Song suddenly restarts while Spotify is connected and shows Listening on Sony Receiver.
11. Song playing time continues on PC, instead of restarting. The playing time stops when it reaches the time equal to the song length.
12. After a couple of seconds, the playing time is synced again.
13. Song suddenly restarts again.

Any help would be appreciated, it has been going on for more than a week now and is quite annoying.

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

It can also be good to try another internet connection to see if the issue persist.
