Ads overplaying?

I am a long time user of Spotify, but recently on my computer, I am getting a ridiculous amount of ads. I get that I am being pushed to buy premium but I am getting about 3 of my songs, maybe 7-10 minutes of music, and then around 3-5 ads, 15-30 seconds per ad. It is just getting a little frustrating that it used to give me a lot more time to listen to music before an ad here and there. Maybe I am noticing it more when I am trying to write for class in the morning. Is something wrong with this or am I just being caught off guard?
