I sort my playlists by having the most recently added songs at the top. Before the most recent update, all albums I added to the playlist would order themselves in correct order from start to finish (despite whether I ordered the playlist oldest to new, or new to oldest). This was good, because it meant I could play all the albums I've recently added, in order, back to back.
However after the most recent update the order of songs is flipped, with some tracks being out of place when sorting by most recently added. This is a little frustrating because sorting my playlists by having most recent at the top is the easiest way to access my most recently added albums (as I have over 2,000 songs in some playlists). It means I either have to scroll all the way to the bottom, or to go into each album to play them (kind of defeating the purpose of playlists), adding extra unneeded steps. I can see why it would make sense to order the album back to front when sorting from newest songs to oldest, but why would you ever want to play an album back to front?
Example below:
THE SECOND IMAGE - album order.jpg - this is the order the album is meant to be in, and this is how it would show in my playlists when I sorted from newest to oldest, and oldest to newest.
THE FIRST IMAGE - order in playlist.jpg - this is what the album now shows as when ordering from newest to oldest. It's back to front, but the second track is misplaced to the top. For the most part, I like the new UI update, and the new features added, but this part to the update is unnecessary because it makes it harder to listen to your most recently added albums (and you normally want to listen to your new music more than your old), and as I said before, whats the point in playing albums back to front?
Thanks!
EDIT
So even though it messes up the order of the songs, it still plays the songs in order if you start from the first track... which is weird but I guess it's just a visual problem then?
