App icon is blinking for no particular reason

My Question or Issue:
When Spotify tab is hidden, app icon in open apps bar randomly starts blinking like there's some notification. But there's nothing. The blinking will stop if I'll open the tab. But after some time it starts blinking again.

Thanks for posting this thread and welcome to the Community!

This could be related to some corrupted cache so if you've not already done this I recommend a clean reinstall of Spotify with the steps here. It's more detailed than a regular reinstall and helps resolve different performance issues.

On another note, if the same thing keep happening it'd be great if you could let us know if you noticed when this occurred for the first time and if it was after something specific (such as an update for example). 

Does it happen with other apps as well and have you downloaded Spotify from our website or the Microsoft Store? You can test with downloading the version which you weren't using so far.
