Bass playing too loud

My Question or Issue

Hi, on my computer that I built and got running lately it has been playing the bass really loud to the point where it's overpowering the treble and I can barely really hear whats going on. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I have been trying to mess with the audio mixer, my audio inputs (I would use my speakers but that's too quiet as well when I plug into that), and searching the internet. Someone please help?
