Browsing saved albums in main window

I don't know how to add this as a suggestion, if it is indeed possible, but please add an 'Albums' folder in the new sidebar, and when clicked on, opens saved albums in the main window. Just like it used to.

I can't speak for everyone, but I would imagine many of us browse saved albums using album art and not by text. That's why browsing hundreds of albums in the sidebar is too cluttered and difficult.

BTW, I know there's a filter option for 'Albums', but that's doesn't achieve the desired goal here.

Hey there @Jenjam, thanks for your post!

While you can't currently view the album art in a full sized window as in the past, I did want to let you know that it is still possible to view your albums using large album art instead of text. The first thing you'll want to do is click the arrow towards the top right of the sidebar (when you hover over it, it'll say "enlarge your library."

Then, you should see a new icon to the left of the arrow that will allow you to switch to  "grid view." You can also always click on that again to switch back to "list view." If you've filtered your library to just view albums as you mentioned in your post, this will let you view all your albums by artwork. Plus, you can also drag from the right side of the sidebar to enlarge the view even further and view more albums per row.

Finally, when you're finished looking through your albums, you can always click the arrow icon again to go back to a narrower sidebar and toggle back and forth as desired between views. Spotify should remember the sizes you set for the both the expanded and narrower library views.

I know this isn't exactly the same as the previous functionality, but hopefully this will get you closer to what you're looking for and let you browse through your albums more easily!

Thanks, dinomight. I have tried that, but as you said, it's not the same as browsing in the main window. Hopefully Spotify will add this functionality back.

Definitely second this. I have a vast amount of saved albums and it is an absolute PAIN to have to vertically scroll through all of them to find what I'm looking for, 10 albums at a time. I understand the convenience of having it on the left pane with different options to sort, but it would be nice to still have the option to show all.
