Can'n normally start or uninstall Windows Store installed Spotify

I installed Spotify on my Win 10 from the Windows Store, pinned its icon to the Taskbar and it worked fine.

Recently, I thing after installing some bigger Win updates, when I clieck the Spotify taskbar icon, it does nothing. When I hit the windows key and type Spotify, it doesn't find the app. When I open the WIndows Store app, find Spotify there, I can launch click the Launch button and Spotify opens. This is the only way I can start the app.

I tried to install a normally downloaded Spotify, but it fails with a message that Spotify is already installed from the Win Store.

And I don't see any option how to uninstall the app from the Store.

Any ideas appreciated

Hey, @RadekSk1  -

You can try uninstalling Spotify through Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. Select Spotify on the list and click 'Uninstall.'

After uninstalling, you can try a clean reintall through the Windows App Store.

Tell me if it works 🙂

Thanks, now it works as any normal app. Not sure why I was not able to remove the Store version before, maybe I was not looking correctly 🙂

Thanks
