Can't choose any song, loops through same playlist, unskippable songs

I can not choose any songs on my desktop spotify, it gets stuck on a playlist and I can not change nor skip any songs, nor change playlist. I've restarted my PC multiple times, relogged, reinstalled the app and deleted remaining folders without anything happening. It has gotten stuck a few times before after using the skip song shortcut on my keyboard, but that has been fixable by just closing the app and opening again. Now I've been stuck for a couple of days without being able to use it on PC. On my phone it works fine.

As a first step, can you please let us know the following:

• Your OS version and Spotify version.
• Have you reinstalled the app using the steps under Clean reinstall in this guide?

In the meantime, please try using a different internet connection and check your hosts file using these steps.
