Hi, I want to import my playlists but in this version there's no "Import button". What should I do?
Same here.
Having the same problem. No way to do this now. Was there an update that removed the capability?
The only "solution" I found was to downgrade to an older version that has the import feature, but would prefer another way to do that in the up-to-date version.
Unfortunately, us folks on Windows 10 get forced into the latest version.
Ugh!
edit: where did you find an older version?
Here: https://spotify.en.uptodown.com/windows/old
Note that even if you manually install a previous version of Spotify it will still try to update itself. There are some ways to prevent the update on YouTube, but they don't work with the newest versions, so check the one used in the video 😉
Holeecow... thanks! I didn't know about that site!
HOWEVER, I tried to download spotify-1-0-72-117.exe and "Windows Defender Smartscreen" blocked it. rut ro... I'm thinking I might be stuck my friend.
Windows Defender Smartscreen isn't so smart, it gives false positives really often. You can bypass it by looking for some "accept" or "yes" button somewhere, or by adding your folder to the exception (not really recomended if you don't have a more serious antivirus installed).
With that said, I don't take any resposibility because I don't now the file you've downloaded (but I didn't get viruses from that website)
I'm going to set up a VM on my computer and then I can mess with it there. This is a one time thing. Thanks again for your help!! And of course, I wouldn't blame you for anything. 🙂
Thank you, after years writing in forums I've lost any hope to find normal people 🙂
Let me know how it ends up!
Gahahahah, lol. Well, nice that we found each other eh? Maybe we can start a club!
Plus, now I have a really good excuse to mess with VM.
I had something similar happen recently with Skype. The new version stinks. I prefer the old version. Thankfully I had a copy of the installer in one of my old backups. Sadly I did not have the Spotify Installer in the same backup tho. 😞
I found a solution! There is a app in Windows 10 Store called "Playlist Converter"
You can connect your Spotify account and then choose iTunes playlist from your iTunes xml file
It's paid but your first conversion is free, so use it carefully or buy it! 😄

I just tried it: if you don't want to pay the full version, you can use the one with ads.
Although it's not so bad, it won't let you upload any track that's not already on Spotify, and a lot of my tracks are not 😕
