My Question or Issue

Hi, I've been having that" Windows outdated/unable tu update spotify" issue for a long time, didn't care but today, looking for the setting 'HiFi streaming' I decided to uninstall and reinstall.

When I launch spotify for the first time I get a blinking window, it blinks twice or thrice and then disappears.

Can't install Spotify al all now, please help.
W10 up to date here.

Hey @dedelandia, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

From what you posted, you were told that the Spotify app was not supported on your device because of the outdated software version. Typically, when you complete a reinstall (uninstalling the app in this case), the new version attempts to load on your computer. You can view the system requirements here

I’d recommend restarting your desktop and then attempting to download Spotify again here. You also mentioned you’re using Windows 10, can you confirm if it’s 64-bit? You can check following these steps

Let me know how this goes!

Hi, yes 64bit W10 up to date.
I tried eveything  people suggests here and there and same issue persists. Untill I tried installing from the fullsetup exe.
Now I can run Spotify desktop. It seems to be a newer version, where can I see which version I'm running?

One issue appears now:

Search is broken, any search on  "what do you want to play?" field  brings the  following:

Something Went Wrong
Reload Page

Restarting the app wont solve this.
Very annoying.

Thanks

Hey @dedelandia

Thanks for getting back to me. You can check the current Spotify app version you’re on following these steps. Let’s try force closing the Spotify app (do not restart at this point) > Restart your Windows > Reopen Spotify app. Let me know if that makes a difference.

Keep me posted.
