Can't minimize "See what your friends are playing"

My Question or Issue

In the Windows app I can't minimise the "See what your friends are playing" (Find Friends) panel on the right hand side. I have no interest in the social capabilities and this is using up valuable screen space. Please make it possible to hide/minimise.

You should be able to turn off Friend Activity in settings. 

You can follow the steps provided in this support article.

Yes, you're right. I didn't see that option because it's not in the Social section with the other related options.
