Can't move, rename or delete Windows folders while Spotify is running

Can't move, rename or delete Windows folders while Spotify is running

I use Spotify on my Notebook, and since the last update, I can't rename, move or delete Windows folders while Spotify is running. I mean, not Spotify folders but Windows folders. Local Media is off. So why is this happening on every folder that contains music files? A message appears saying that other program opened that folder or is using it. It took me 2 days to figure out Spotify was the problem. I installed and reinstalled and the issue is still there.

Thank you.

Hey @gonzalojp76,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Can you let us know if this is happening only with folders that contain songs you've added as local files to the app or with any folder in general?

Something you can try is to turn off Hardware acceleration from the app Settings or run a clean reinstall of the app. This is a bit different than uninstalling and reinstalling, as it involves clearing all app cache and data. Check out this guide for best results.

Keep us posted.
