My Question or Issue

Ok so this issue just started and I cant figure out the resolution.. 

 

If I cast Spotify from my phone either it opens the app on my TV but doesn't play any music or it plays music but what it plays on the TV and what my phone says its playing is not the same thing and on my phone it's paused so I cant control anything but the volume. Also my desktop and my phone do recognize each other and neither pop up on available devices yet they are both on the same Wifi network. 

 

Ive tried uninstalling both the phone app and the desktop app and nothing helps. any advise would be greatly appreciated.
