Curious about "Friend Activity" symbol

My Question or Issue

Just saw this sound symbol over a friends profile picture in the activity section. not sure what it means since the sound symbol is ALSO on the far left across from their name to show they are listening right now. What could this extra one mean? If I hover over it it turns into a play symbol like normal.

This symbol shows when you click play on your friend avatar and you are listening to the same song as him.

Well, I guess it is for when you are listening to the same playlist too. That makes sense. Thanks
