[Desktop] Desktop app won't play via my usb controller/studio monitors

My Question or Issue

The desktop app skips through all the tracks and won't play a thing when my controller is plugged in via USB. I cannot find any way of selecting my hardware as an output for spotify. I've never had this issue with any other audio app before. I can play tracks via my setup if I load the web browser and control it via the app on my phone or other laptop but I'd like it to be fully functioning on this laptop since this is the one I use for audio. Spotify chat are not very helpful.

Spotify does not appreciate at all when you mess around with audio playback devices, the only quick and easy solution I found when running Voicemeeter was to reboot my PC after switching around some settings
