Desktop app under corporate firewall with CNTLM

Desktop app under corporate firewall with CNTLM

Hello.

I'm successfully using CNTLM as a proxy to install python packages. and other stuff, etc.

But, for some reason, Spotify desktop app is not being able to use it and connect.

I've tried many variations: HTTP, SOCKS4, ..., adding or not adding my real user and password (although not needed, as CNTLM already have these information)

But couldn't make it.

Does anybody have a reason, or some solution to it?

I've also tried forcing Headers (under CNTLM config), to some browser like Firefox, thinking it could may be some spotify headers blocked by firewall, but that as well didn't work.

If you need any dump, log, etc., feel free to request. Thank you in advance.

I selected https, put 127.0.0.1 as the host/server, and my cntlm port. I left the username and password blank, and that worked for me.
