Desktop overlay/song banner enables itself when restarting spotify or pc

My Question or Issue

I am having a problem with the desktop overlay when changing songs with my mediakeys on my keyboard, I've had this problem for about a year and last time I posted about 6 months ago about this same problem and didn't get a solution, so what is up with this now, is it going to be fixed ever?

Here is some more information, i couldn't put it in the post i don't know thy though.

I didn't get a solution. It truely is super annoying when changing songs while playing and trying to look for enemies in game and then the overlay pops up. In spotify Settings option for "Show desktop overlay when using media keys" is turned off and when i toggle it and toggle it back off, it doesn't show me the overlay anymore but when i restart my pc or spotify it starts showing it again.

This is a known issue which is under investigaton by Spotify. You can check how it is going and vote for it to catch more attention to it here. Hope this gets fixed soon 🙂
