Desktop spotify totally not working and now I'm locked out

Hello,

From my searches I have hound a few people having simmilar problems but when I tried following the solutions I couldnt fix it.

It started with spotify being unable to connect to the internet (I think it was error 4) on multipe wifi networks despite being conncted, I tried some trouble shooting things like logging out, and changing the internet settings on my laptop as reccomended.

However after logging out I couldn't log back in so I changed my password (which didnt work error says there may be a firewall blocking spotify which there shouln't be since I havent changed any of my settings), and tried logging in with facebook which also failed. 

Finally I unistalled the software and re-installed it which still didnt work.

I can still log in on web browser and mobile its just the desktop program which seems to not be working.

Hi.

Can you check if a clean installation in safe mode with network solves your problem? Try also to log in in safe mode. How to do a clean installation is mentioned in the solution here:
