Different album and album cover in playing now (bottom left) and playlist

My Question or Issue

Sometimes when playing songs from a playlist the actual song playing is the same song, but from a different album. Also showing album cover for another album.

Why is this happening?

Hey @gfredhei,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

This looks like the same song got uploaded to Spotify twice (maybe via two different distributors, or same distributor but different version, metadata-wise, of the same song).

If you think there's something wrong with the app, the best thing to try would be a clean reinstall: usually does the trick if you're facing a temporary error.
