Enabling Enhanded on a playlist, disables the shuffling.

Solved!

Enabling Enhanded on a playlist, disables the shuffling.

Windows app. Like in the title.

Enabling Enhanced on a playlist, disables the shuffling. It always goes from the top.

Play track number 8, it will start from 1 again. And then it moves to track number 2. Clicking next/previous will also just go up and down.

And on a different playlist, without Enhanced enabled, it shuffles just fine.

It cannot possibly be intended.

And it's fixed. There was an update yesterday, I think, but I only checked today. Out of curiosity. Enhanced playlist shuffles just fine now.

I am having the same issue. My post got moved to the main thread (no idea how do send to to that thread, sorry) they are trouble shooting it and hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Sadly, I just don't use the smart shuffle feature. Normal shuffle still works fine thankfully and I just go to new playlists to add new songs to my main playlist.

It's really odd. I'm facing the same issue for most of my playlists EXCEPT those that are >20 hours in length.

Gow did you notice that? Seems like a really odd variable to notice.

I will add 15 minutes more of music just to have that be true.

I have 2 playlists that are >20 hours in length (about 22 hours to be exact). For some reason, those ones seem to be shuffling properly in Enhanced mode compared to my other playlists (1-14 hours in length) which seem to face the issue.

Nope. I have a 28 hour playlist and a 7 hour playlist, neither wants to shuffle.

Hi folks!

Could you share a short screen recording which captures the app's behavior in action so we can have a closer look? Feel free to also share the version of Spotify you're running, which can be found by tapping on the three dots in the top left corner > Help > About Spotify.

Cheers!

Spotify for Windows
1.1.96.785.g464c973a

without Enhance enabled, it shuffles just fine, like it used to

Hey @rockmancer,

Thanks for sending over the video.

We've tried reproducing the issue on our end but we weren't able to. Would it be possible to ask a friend or a family member to log into their account on your device so we can narrow down the possible cause of this behavior?

Keep us posted.

Unfortunately I am unable to do so right now, BUT, I checked the Android app on my phone (8.7.72.546), which I rarely use, but it has the exact same problem.

Hi there @rockmancer,

Thank you for your reply and for double checking this from a different device.

It seems like this might be account related so if you can have someone log in with their account on your device when you have the opportunity it would be great.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Take care!
