Extreme data consumption of data in Windows 10 ?

I had an extreme data consumption in the beginning of August. In only 24 hours my computer downstreamed 120 GB of data. I didn't do any downloads of my own, and neither my data provider nor Microsoft can say what happened exept that a program must have run. I still have no explanation to the issue.

I didn't run Spotify, but the program might have been open. A friend had heard of a bug or something that existed in Spotify that might consume data. Anyone know anything?

Sometimes when you close programs they turn into background processes, to check if spotify is doing this close it from the program then go into task manager and look for anything with spotify in the name
